INVITATION

Welcome to the 6th Graz Symposium on Developmental Neurology that will be held in
Graz, Austria, May 3 to 5, 2007.

The central theme of the 6th Graz Symposium in 2007 will be EARLY DEVELOPMENTAL TRANSFORMATIONS. Leading experts from the basic sciences will meet with clinicians from various disciplines to discuss new findings and controversial views regarding continuity and discontinuity in early development. The major focus of the conference will be to compare and contrast those neural functions whose development is tightly age-locked, and those neuro-behavioural functions that are losely age-related and that therefore exhibit a broader range of individual variations.

In keeping with the tradition of all our previous meetings we will bring together eminent scientists and clinicians from various fields of neuroscience and clinical developmental neurology. Their contributions will be of interest to clinicians and basic scientists in fields of child and developmental neurology, neuropaediatrics, neuropsychology, developmental therapy, and allied disciplines.

The 6th Graz Symposium on Developmental Neurology will be held in honour of the founder of Developmental Neurology,
Heinz F. R. Prechtl,
who will celebrate his 80th birthday in 2007.
